Welcome to the website of the Nottinghamshire Bat Group
We are a group dedicated to the conservation of Nottinghamshire's bats. Up until very recently we were known as the South Nottinghamshire Bat Group but have now combined resources to become a grouyp for the whole county. Over the next few months this website will develop to show our new county wide coverage.
The following are just a few of the things we do.

- Survey roost sites
- Give talks on bat conservation

- Care for injured bats
- Arrange training for members working towards their roost visitors licence
Bats are one of the most misunderstood group of animals on the planet and are often treated with fear and superstition. We hope that during your visit to our website you will learn more about this fascinating creature.
Summer Bat will now be fully active and busy every evening feeding. Female bats will have returned to their traditional nursery roosts in preparation for the birth of their young in early June. After about four weeks the young will also leave the roost and learn the art of hunting
